1990 Lieutenant Norman E. Derouin, U. S. Navy retired
Lieutenant Norman Ernest Derouin, United States Navy, retired, was born on 22 July 1925 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He was the son of Lena and Joseph Derouin.
Lieutenant Derouin joined the United States Navy on the 10th of June, 1943. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam. He retired from the military on 30 November 1970.
After his retirement, Lieutenant Derouin moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he worked as a meteorologist. He was active in the Arizona Chapter of The Retired Officers Association (now MOAA), and was our 36th Chapter President in 1990.
Lieutenant Derouin passed away on the 25th of November, 1994. Survivors included his wife, Helen; his son, Norman; and one grandchild.
Lieutenant Derouin is interned in Site 2500, Section 18D, of the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona.? Funeral services were conducted by the Best Funeral Services of Phoenix.
